Meditation Monday 3/13/17

For this "Meditation Monday" just a 30 sec video of a crackling fire to help you get re-centered from the business of the day. For added benefit, focus on the silence. No need to try and turn the volume up to listen as some of the most beneficial sounds are silence (pretty profound from a sound guy, huh?). This can be a great meditative practice to ground your attention in the present moment. There is a less known yoga practice of focusing the mind on silence and the inner sound called Nada Yoga. Nada is the Sanskrit word for “sound,” and nada yoga means meditating on the inner sound, also referred to as the sound of silence. (Interestingly, nada is also the Spanish word for “nothing.”)
